for the past few days Volotea has taken over the management of flights in territorial continuity from our Sardinia. As we all know, territorial continuity allows us Sardinians to shorten the distance between Sardinia and the continent, and I personally believe that it is essential that this happens in the most transparent way possible.

Volotea is a low cost company, used to selling low-priced tickets and then trying to sell additional services to increase the final cost of the ticket you are buying. I am myself an active user of low cost airlines that I think give the possibility of being able to travel at extremely advantageous prices. Furthermore, I consider them fundamental for the development of tourism in areas less popular with major airlines.

Yesterday I came across my first booking of a flight under territorial continuity with Volotea. I was confused and amazed to immediately see the promotion of additional services that should have already been included in my territorial continuity flight package, such as flexibility in ticket changes and checked baggage. Only with a careful analysis of the site and a confirmation chat with the operators of the Volotea call center I was able to reassure myself and understand that in reality everything was already included in the ticket.

I wrote to you only because I wanted to have the opportunity to inform all travelers like me not to be deceived by the additional packages promoted on the Volotea website, but to book a basic ticket that will already include all the services that are due to us.

I just add that I don't think this is an act of bad faith on Volotea's part, but probably the company just needs some time to adapt their site to the 'extraordinary' conditions that must be offered for continuous flights. territorial.
