Cinderella moves on tiptoe to the rhythm of Sergei Prokofiev's music. Tonight at the Teatro Comunale in Sassari (8.30pm), then tomorrow (8.30pm) and Sunday (19th) at the Teatro Massimo in Cagliari, “ Cinderella” by the Ballet of the Croatian National Theatre “Ivan pl. Zajc” of Rijeka , choreographed by Leo Mujić, will be performed. The title is included in the programme of La Grande Danza organised by CeDAC / Multidisciplinary Circuit of Live Performance in Sardinia.

The show is a modern reinterpretation of the Russian composer's masterpiece, created between 1940 and 1944 for the Kirov Theatre in Leningrad, with a libretto by Nikolaj Volkov, inspired by the fairy tale by Charles Perrault: in the version imagined by Leo Mujić , in collaboration with the playwright Bálint Rauscher.

In the spotlight are dancers Yurika Kimura (Ella / Cinderella), Leonard Cela (John / Prince), Marta Kanazir (Cindy / Mother and Fairy Godmother), Marta Voinea Čavrak (Zorica / Stepsister), Tea Rušin (Dragica / Stepsister), Ksenija Duran Krutova (Milosija / Stepmother), Ali Tabbouch (Dr. Vanja / Father), Isabelle Zabot (Master of Ceremonies) and Giovanni Liverani (Boy with Oranges), together with the Croatian National Theatre Ballet Ensemble “Ivan pl Zajc”.
