An exhibition full of charm in one of the most fascinating places, rich in history and suggestions. Let's talk about "Black Peace", the exhibition that yesterday was inaugurated in the basement of the Church of the Holy Sepulcher in the heart of the Marina district, the pulsating historic center of the city of Cagliari, hosted by the Santa Eulalia Museum System.

In the crypt that was a burial place watched over by a precious and macabre fresco, the works of the artist Andrea Lecca have found their home since yesterday, of which we provide you with an explanatory photo gallery by Giuseppe Ungari.

An exhibition that our art critic Alessandra Menesini has visited and of which she says: «Here is “Black Peace”, an exhibition that talks about past and present wars and injustices. Andrea Lecca, with artist sensitivity, makes a painful calculation of all forms of evil and sets his works in a place consecrated to death. Drawings and acrylics in the personal exhibition carefully curated by Claudia Caredda. Each work is accompanied by captions taken from texts by poets, writers and journalists».

These, however, are the explanatory words of the curator Claudia Caredda to begin to enter the world of Lecca: «Black peace is like a body with arms already in tatters that continues to dance in indifference. It is the peace of those who turn away, denying that horror is everywhere». Therefore, today's world mercilessly pours into Andrea Lecca's drawings and paintings.

Few strokes summarize the nuances of contemporary evil. In a reality where death is pursued - physical, spiritual, intellectual - the artist's gesture is a cry of obligation, not so much of accusation, but of empathy for those who are sacrificed to oil the "banal" mechanism of evil.
