An important day linked to literature of great cultural significance was experienced in the municipal library. In fact, the documentary film "A scuola con Grazia" was presented with all the protagonists, inspired by the life of the great Nuorese writer Grazia Deledda, made by eighth grade students of the "Giannino Caria" comprehensive school.

This at the conclusion of an intense historical research and reading of the writer's texts: initially born as a theatrical performance, however postponed several times due to the Covid emergency, it was transformed by the students into a document film, the result of a laboratory of reading and acting.

Directed by the teacher of literature, Giampiera Palmas, the boys made several videos through which they recounted the life of the writer, from her early youth up to the prestigious award of the Nobel Prize.

Subsequently, all the scenes shot were inserted through a photomontage technique in the places and environments in which Grazia Deledda lived and carried out her literary activity.

«The work - says the director of the institute, Sergio Masia - is original and effective, appreciable from a content and formal point of view, expresses the desire of the teachers and students to leave a tangible contribution, within the Deleddian celebrations, aimed to spread the work and the literary message of the writer".

The teacher Giampiera Palmas adds: «Certainly, the laboratory activity has allowed many students to approach for the first time the reading of the works of the great writer and to appreciate the high content linked to the representation of places, feelings, culture and Sardinian identity. The work has given rise to the awareness in the children that our writer must finally be given the right role in school programs and textbooks».
