From "Mary Poppins," which blended live-action with animation, to "The Little Mermaid," from "Beauty and the Beast" to "A Whole New World." But also "Jesus Christ Superstar" and "The Blues Brothers." Musicals, not just Disney, animated, or even live-action, have churned out dozens and dozens of unforgettable songs. Some of the most famous will be performed on Thursday, May 7th at 8:30 pm at the Teatro Verdi in the concert entitled "A Night on Broadway."

The protagonist of the evening will be the Teatro Verdi Chamber Orchestra , conducted by Konzertmeister Guglielmo De Stasio , together with singers Samantha Discolpa, Roberta Gaviano, Mark Schwaiger and Matteo Dessì .

The concert will offer a musical journey divided into three parts, designed to showcase the richness and variety of musical theater. The first part of the evening will be dedicated to the great works born or made famous by the success of Disney feature films. The second part will be dedicated to Jesus Christ Superstar , the celebrated rock opera based on the immortal songs of Andrew Lloyd Webber. The third part will lead the audience into the world of The Blues Brothers , John Landis's masterpiece, built around the valorization of great blues, soul, and swing songs, linked to legendary figures such as Aretha Franklin, Ray Charles, and Cab Calloway.

The concert is part of the "Great Interpreters of Music" series curated by the Cooperativa Teatro e/o Musica.
