“A figure who has great international prestige as well as a long activity within the institutions”. This is the identikit of the man or woman that Italians would like at the Quirinale, after the end of the mandate of Sergio Mattarella, who has repeatedly ruled out the possibility of an encore. This is what emerges from a survey conducted by the Quorum / YouTrend research institute for Sky TG24.

And for 17% of the interviewees the best name would be Mario Draghi, followed by Silvio Berlusconi at 10%. So two women, Emma Bonino and Marta Cartabia, respectively at 8% and 5%.

At 5% also Romano Prodi. Followed by Walter Veltroni (4%), Mario Monti (3%), Paolo Gentiloni, Pier Ferdinando Casini, Elisabetta Casellati, Dario Franceschini, (all at 2%), then Paola Severino, Franco Frattini and Giuliano Amato (all at 1%. ), other names (4%).

The poll also asked for an opinion in favor or against the transfer of the current prime minister from Chigi to the Colle if this entailed a return to early elections. Well, 49% said they were against this possibility, against 43% who said they were in favor.

The survey then measured the confidence of Italians in the Draghi government: 50% of the interviewees trust the Draghi government (12% have a lot of trust, 38% trust), against 44% who do not (have little trust 30% and no trust 14%). Finally, 6% chose not to express themselves.
