Tomorrow a new appointment with the author awaits the people of Quartucci.
Marco Casula with his book "The uncle's courtyard" will be a guest at 5.30 pm in the "Sanna Sulis" municipal library in via Pertini as part of the Biblioincontri con l'author exhibition. After the usual greetings from the councilor for culture, Elisabetta Contini, Gemma Pardocchi and Giuseppe Savastano from the reading group "passionate readers" will talk with the author.
Marco Casula will accompany the public in the life of Raf Mantega, a popular journalist who, destroyed by the sudden death of his partner, to try to rediscover the meaning of his existence, throws himself headlong into an investigation that will take him to Colombia in search of news on the mysterious disappearance of a plane loaded with weapons.
In a country where lawlessness and death rage, where regular and paramilitary armies, rebel militias, criminal mafia camarillas face each other, in a context dominated by widespread corruption which the powerful drug cartels use to manage their trafficking, Raf will reveal intrigues , betrayals and bitter truths, managing, however, at the same time, to give meaning to his entire existence .
Born in Nuoro in 1950, but Sassari is his soul city. He has lived in Cagliari for some time, as a retired public official, his literary vocation came late: reading (fiction, non-fiction and poetry) is one of the activities to which he dedicates the most time.
