Sa Dom'e Farra , in Quartu , reopens on a daily basis and definitively resumes its role as the epicenter of popular traditions.
Originally a Campidanese house, a historic residence dedicated to the display of objects from the peasant tradition and then popular culture, now the Cantadoris museum and meeting place for all those who love and promote the Quartese and Sardinian identity. The first ethnographic museum in Sardinia has now found a new dimension of its own as an exceptional location for initiatives dedicated to folklore and popular culture, with the events of the "Si ghètat custu bandu" review, financed by the municipal administration and created by the associations towns, which enliven the Campidanese house several times a week and especially at the weekend.
Now the novelty: the exhibition itinerary of the Multimedia Museum of Improvised Poetry , for some years housed within the historic structure in via Umberto, in front of the Palazzo Comunale, will in fact be open to visitors on weekdays , morning and afternoon, from Monday to Thursday from 9 to 13 and from 16 to 20, thanks to the contribution of the recipients of the Citizenship Income .
«I am doubly satisfied with this novelty - is the comment of the Councilor for Social and Generational Policies, Marco Camboni -. First of all because it allows us to give back to the city a modern and functional museum that makes good use of an art that is historically strong in our community. And then because we restore dignity and hope to fellow citizens who have found themselves facing a situation of discomfort . Obviously my role leads me to want to underline this last peculiarity above all, because we are talking about a design methodology in which the Administration strongly believes: Quartesi who make themselves available to other Quartesi, thus gaining a role in the community that also smacks of redemption personal".
