Quartu, reduced Tari rates thanks to the fight against tax evasion

Lower rates for families and productive activities thanks to the recovery of a part of tax evasion. The resolution is from the Quartu Municipal Council which will now bring the measure to the Council for approval. As regards domestic users, discounts are foreseen for all families; the amount, calculated taking into account the double parameter, namely the number of square meters of the house and the quantity of family members, will guarantee discounts of up to 48 euros for families of 5 people, but even those made up of a single citizen will pay less : from 9 euros for the smallest houses to 35 for the largest ones.

The decrease in the Tari also affects non-domestic users and, in particular, catering businesses. Restaurants, taverns, inns, pizzerias, pubs will benefit from a discount that can go beyond 100 euros; the same goes for bars, cafes and pastry shops: -98 euros for premises of 150 square meters and even 131 euros of savings for premises of 200 square meters. Good news also for the food market stalls, which will benefit from a 10% reduction compared to last year.

"We have studied - says Mayor Graziano Milia - a very precise taxation framework, with the novelty of the reduction in all sectors, from families to businesses. It is not a huge decrease but it is a signal. And all this was possible thanks to the recovery of tax evasion. When it is said that if we pay all we pay less we are saying an absolute truth: we have had direct testimony of this, recovering about half a million euros. If we could guarantee coverage for the payment of utilities up to 70/80 %, the TARI could be almost halved. This is why everyone needs to assume their responsibilities ".
In the same vein, Deputy Mayor and Councilor for the Environment Tore Sanna: “This result will not stop our work but will instead be an extra incentive to continue working in this direction. We hope to obtain further discounts thanks to the introduction of the punctual rate, which will allow us to track virtuous citizens and thus guarantee a direct relationship between punctuality in the differentiation and calculation of the due. The ultimate goal is in fact to protect virtuous citizens so that they can finally pay less ".
