This morning, the meeting between the mayor of Quartu Graziano Milia and City Councilor Francesco Piludu took place, marking the beginning of a new phase in the city's civic journey.

The meeting comes after the "Cambiamo Quartu" and "Rinascita Quartu" groups recently ratified their shared path, creating a political and civic pact ahead of the municipal elections of June 7 and 8, 2026.

A choice that symbolically fits into a new era: a transition that looks to the city's future with a constructive spirit, responsibility, and a desire to bring together energies, experiences, and people.

"Cambiamo Quartu represents an important part of the city," said Mayor Graziano Milia. "Over the years, it has built its presence, relationships, and capacity for proposals, contributing significantly to the broader civic project that has put Quartu and its citizens back at the center. This agreement fully recognizes that journey and places it within a shared vision, which aims to strengthen the ability to provide concrete solutions to the city ."

For Francesco Piludu, this is a natural progression, consistent with the work already underway: "We've chosen to take a step forward, putting ourselves even more at stake in a process that looks to Quartu's future. It's a choice born of discussion and sharing, with the idea of pooling energy, experience, and people to give the city greater strength, greater quality, and new opportunities ."

A press release states that "the pact is based on a shared vision that focuses on the city's concrete issues: the quality of neighborhoods, urban regeneration, land protection, the role of associations and sports, social cohesion, and the ability to seize new development opportunities. The shared goal is to guide Quartu into a new phase, building solid foundations for the future and leveraging the contribution of all the city's civic energies. A journey that begins in the spirit of Spring and looks forward with confidence: together, a step forward for Quartu."
