After the intense debut entrusted to Caterina Murino with "Medea," the second edition of the Quartu Cultura Festival continues with another exceptional event that confirms the festival's vocation to intertwine major players of the Italian scene, diverse artistic languages, and the extraordinary setting of the Molentargius-Saline Regional Natural Park.
On Saturday, August 29th, at 9:00 PM, Giancarlo Giannini, the undisputed maestro of the Italian music scene, will star in "Le parole note," a recital that brings literature and music into dialogue. Accompanied by a quartet led by Neapolitan saxophonist Marco Zurzolo, Giannini will lead the audience on a journey into the feminine universe through words and verses that span different eras, cultures, and sensibilities.
From Pablo Neruda to García Lorca, from Márquez to Shakespeare, from Angiolieri to Salinas, Giannini's unmistakable voice will unfold a journey through love and desire, melancholy and irony, sensuality and poetry. The narration will be counterpointed by Zurzolo's unreleased music, in an original encounter between words and sound. A journey from the 13th century to the present day, made even more evocative by the nocturnal atmosphere of Molentargius, where the landscape becomes an integral part of the experience.
Organized by the Quartu Cultura Foundation, with the aim of promoting and enhancing cultural itineraries in the city, the festival continues on September 3rd with an acoustic concert by Rapahel Gualazzi, and continues until September 10th. This journey intertwines theater, music, dance, and literary readings, offering a program that speaks to diverse audiences, transforming culture into an experience to be enjoyed.
As Giovanni Follesa, vice president of the Quartu Cultura Foundation, emphasizes: "Molentargius isn't just the setting for our events, but part of the experience. Those who attend take away not only the memory of what they saw or heard, but the emotion of having experienced it in an extraordinary place, where culture and environment come together to create a unique way of experiencing the area."
