Slight improvements in the quality of life of the city of Sardinia, which however remains far behind in the national ranking of well-being.

The latest ranking was created by ItaliaOggi and Ital Communications, in collaboration with Sapienza University of Rome , as part of a study, now in its 26th edition, which takes into consideration various parameters, including levels of services, income threshold, infrastructure and vitality of the productive fabric.

The best position among the major centers of the island is obtained by Cagliari, which ranks 68th out of 107 provinces examined, with a leap forward of five positions.

In detail, in the nine dimensions of analysis, the Sardinian capital is positioned as follows:

  • Business & Work: 75th place
  • Environment: 49th place
  • Crime and safety: 10th place
  • Social Security: 103rd place
  • Education and training: 28th place
  • Population: 60th place
  • Health system: 19th place
  • Tourism: 38th place
  • Income and wealth: 65th place

THE OTHERS – As for the other cities in Sardinia, Nuoro is ranked 77th (change +1), Sassari 84th (-7), Oristano 89th (+2), while Southern Sardinia drops 7 positions compared to the previous year, ranking 96th out of 107 provinces considered.

TOP AND FLOP – At the national level, Milan once again conquers the podium, ranking first, followed by Bolzano and Monza and Brianza. At the bottom of the ranking, however, are Caltanissetta (107th), together with Reggio Calabria (106) and Agrigento (105).
