American rapper Puff Daddy – also known as Sean “Diddy” Combs – has been arrested by Manhattan police for sexual assault. The New York justice system announced this, citing several complaints against him.
“Federal agents arrested Sean Combs on an indictment filed in the Southern District of New York,” U.S. Attorney Damian Williams said, adding that details of the charges were expected to be released this morning.

The rapper's lawyer, Marc Agnifilo, said in a press release that his client was "voluntarily" in the city, where he moved. His side is "disappointed by the decision of the United States Attorney's Office to pursue what we believe to be an unjust prosecution against Combs," he added.
Puff Daddy, 54, Jennifer Lopez's ex, is described by his alleged victims as a " sexually violent predator" who used alcohol and drugs to gain their submission .

In total, nine complaints have been filed against the rapper since November 2023. In one of these, his ex-partner 'Cassie' Ventura accuses him of having had "violent" and "deviant" behavior for a decade.
Sean Combs has so far steadfastly denied all the charges, which have plagued him since the 1990s although no major convictions have ever been handed down against him.
