Mission to Rome for the regional councilor for public works Aldo Salaris, to take stock of financing, road infrastructures in Sardinia and the modernization projects of the island's road network.
In the capital, the exponent of the Solinas council met the new CEO of Anas, Aldo Isi, to discuss, among other things, the "technological breakthrough" that will make Sassari-Olbia the first smart road in Sardinia (investment of 30, 5 million euros, design and construction by Anas). On the occasion, Salaris reiterated the urgent need to fill the infrastructural gap affecting the island, asking Anas to continue on the path of collaboration, but shortening the construction times of the works and giving a strong acceleration to the construction sites in progress. Specific focus also dedicated to recruitment: the commissioner reiterated the request for more staff in Sardinia, drawing on the applications of Sardinians presented during these two years. "We need personnel on construction sites and we have manpower to employ. The time has come for Anas to increase its staff on the island", explained Salaris on the sidelines of the meeting.
After the meeting with Anas, the one with the Minister for the South and territorial cohesion, Mara Carfagna.
"The opportunity - explains a note from the Region - to take stock of the financing lines available for the South, which Sardinia intends to intercept".
"We come out of two years of unprecedented crisis, Sardinia has paid too high a price and in light of the difficult moment we are experiencing at a global level, it risks suffering again. We have a duty to deploy every tool, starting with those financial, to give legs to the recovery ", explained Salaris.
