The works of Sardinian artists and intellectuals to address the issue of regime propaganda. Friday at 5:30 pm the Pinacoteca Nazionale di Sassari , in synergy with   The Regional Directorate of Museums of Sardinia is offering the exhibition “Propaganda. Images and words of the regime” . The exhibition, which will be inaugurated on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the Liberation of Italy from Nazi-fascism, can be visited free of charge. It will be open until May 4th from 9 am to 7:30 pm.

the exhibition itinerary dedicated to the stories that saw some artists of the time as protagonists is curated by the Director of the Museum, Maria Paola Dettori. It is an in-depth reflection, punctuated by the words of the protagonists themselves, revealing the falsehood, violence and rhetoric that communication during the fascist period was called upon to conceal.

Marked by colorful graphics, it offers materials of different nature, starting from the works of art that come, in part, from the museum's deposits, and are placed alongside those visible to the general public, with the aim of clarifying even better the context to which they belong. On display are documents, magazines and exhibition catalogues signed by the most highly regarded designers such as Tarquinio Sini, Federico and Melkiorre Melis and Ubaldo Badas.

Slogans and incitements to the conquest and population of the colonies, a reflection on industrial development and the consequent presumed 'entry of the island into modernity', thanks to fascism, and, finally, the border line that illustrates the role of women, subordinate and confined to the family.
