Selargius and coach Federico Cocco have parted ways. The club announced the news in a brief statement.
ASD Selargius officially announces the termination of its professional relationship with first-team coach Federico Cocco. The club thanks the coach for his dedication and professionalism and wishes him a future filled with satisfaction and success. In short, there's no controversy. Federico Cocco is leaving Selargius, where he arrived last summer, leading the club to a sixth-place finish in Group A of the Promozione league.
I've definitely worked hard. I respect Selargius's decision, even if I'm still a little disappointed. We've put together a great group, with so many of the players having matured over the season. I'm truly proud of it. I'm leaving with their respect. It was a wonderful experience. Selargius will remain in my heart, confident that I've laid the foundation for an even more rewarding future—for the club, for the athletes, and for the players themselves.
Selargius finished the season (Group A of the Promotion League) in sixth place with 50 points. They are clearly laying the foundations for the future, remembering that Selargius once dominated regional amateur football in the Eccellenza league, before making the jump to Serie D, where they were a long-time protagonists.
