Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni: «The arable land will not be used for photovoltaics»

"We don't want to allow the land used for cultivation to be used for photovoltaic panels." Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni reiterated this during her usual live broadcast on social media with political updates.
«Without prejudice that we are for renewables – added the Prime Minister -, the consumption of productive land from an agricultural point of view is a threat to our food sovereignty. Solar, renewable, clean energy can be produced without subtracting a single meter of land from cultivation."
Meloni spoke in his column - renamed "TeleMeloni" - about the importance of supporting the agricultural sector to protect businesses and defend the weakest supply chains. And also of families: «One of the great objectives has always been that of supporting the birth rate and the single allowance is one of the most effective tools to encourage it. We maintained it and invested 3 billion euros more in it. I'm telling you about it because the European Commission has decided to open an infringement procedure with crazy reasons. If we were to follow the EU's indications, the measure would be unsustainable and would lend itself to various scams. I hope that the next Commission has a more reasonable approach, if not we will fight."
And, again, of the rules approved by the last Council of Ministers on the possibility of remedying slight discrepancies that today are found in the homes of many Italians: "We are not talking about amnesty, this is not what this is about", underlined the prime minister.
