A few more hours and the name of the new president of Lega Pro will be known.

Two journalists, Matteo Marani and Marcel Vulpis, will challenge each other in the extraordinary elective assembly scheduled for tomorrow in Rome, in the Coni Hall of Honour. They are running for the position left vacant by Francesco Ghirelli, who resigned on December 16, and the choice of 59 clubs (Juve Next Gen cannot vote) will restore governance to one of the two members of the FIGC who have remained headless.

The other is The Hague, following the resignation of the president of referees, Alfredo Trentalange.

Marani, journalist and historian, has filed his candidacy for the presidency of Lega Pro in ticket with Gianfranco Zola for the role of vice president.

Vulpis, vice president in Ghirelli management and currently acting, runs together with manager Francesco Zicchieri and tax expert Alberto De Nigro , both candidates for the role of vice presidents.
