Ports: The Chamber of Deputies approves Domenico Bagalà's appointment to Sardinia.

The Chamber of Deputies' 9th Transport Committee has approved the appointment of the new presidents of three port system authorities. At its September 24th session, parliamentarians expressed a favorable opinion on the proposals put forward for the management of the country's key maritime hubs.
Those given the green light by the Commission were : Paolo Piacenza, a lawyer, nominated for the presidency of the Port Authority of the Southern Tyrrhenian and Ionian Seas, based in Gioia Tauro; Matteo Gasparato, a doctor, nominated to lead the Port Authority of the Northern Adriatic Sea, based in Venice; and Domenico Bagalà, also a doctor, nominated for the presidency of the Port Authority of the Sardinian Sea, based in Cagliari.
The nominations , now approved by the Chamber, will be examined by the Senate Committee VIII, which will be called upon to express its final vote.
