For the ports of Sardinia, investments for works exceeding 460 million euros over the three-year period 2024-2026, more than half of which will already be available starting next year.
This is what is foreseen in the 2024 budget forecast and in the three-year program of works approved by the Management Committee of the AdSP of the Sea of Sardinia.

In detail, in the next five years the expenditure will exceed 605 million euros of investments, with a significant portion, already from 2024, exceeding 253 million which will be divided as follows: 70 million for the start of works on the Terminal Ro-Ro of Cagliari, around 80 for the dredging of the port of Olbia, 78 million for the electrification of the docks, while the remaining part will be used for maintenance works in the ports of Porto Torres, Golfo Aranci, Oristano, Portovesme and Arbatax.
«As clearly highlighted in the numbers of the budget forecast, the three-year program of works and the sustainability budget itself, the Sardinian port system is a lively, rapidly evolving and attentive to sustainability», explains Massimo Deiana, President of the AdSP del Mare of Sardinia. He adds: «Numerous challenges await us in 2024, with the start of strategic construction sites for the adaptation of our ports to the new international scenarios of maritime traffic and logistics, but, above all, for compliance with the stringent deadlines dictated by the PNRR of which, already in the next 12 months, we plan to spend a good part of the funding between the start of work on the ro-ro terminal and the electrification of the docks".
