The curtain rises at the Andrea Parodi theatre in Porto Torres . Sunday 29 December from 6 pm “Swan Lake” will be performed, a fairy tale and dance in the Christmas classic, a show by La Botte e il Cilindro.
The theatrical version of Tchaikovsky's ballet of the same name, a rewriting freely inspired by the events "narrated" by the ballet and the ancient German fairy tale "The Stolen Veil". The show written by Consuelo Pittalis, directed by Pier Paolo Conconi and choreographed by Alessandra Mura. On stage: Luisella Conti, Alice Friggia, Consuelo Pittalis, Giomaria Carboni, Margherita Lavosi, Stefano Chessa, Sara Giordanelli, Noemi Zucca, Erica Tedde.
On stage the story of the powerful Rothbart who falls in love with the beautiful Odette who rejects him. Offended by her refusal, the evil magician casts a spell on the girl and all her companions, transforming them into swans. Only at night can the unfortunate girls resume their human form and only a promise of eternal love can break the spell that afflicts them. One night, in the moonlight, Prince Sigfried sees Odette near a lake, falls madly in love with her and begs her to attend the ball that the prince's mother has organized for his birthday, a ball where Sigfried will choose his bride.
The lighting design is by Paolo Palitta, the stagecraft and sound are by Michele Grandi. The voice of the lake is by Chiara Conconi. The costumes are by Luisella Conti and Roberta Amadu for Progetto Palco. The masks were made by Andrea Gennati.
