It is the young 19-year-old Turritano, Gianluca Manunta, whom the Rotary Club Porto Torres has decided to award the “Nicola Parodi” Award, awarded every year to the model student who graduated from one of the city's high schools.
A result achieved with full marks with the diploma obtained at the Paglietti Nautical Institute, a scholastic course that will continue with a two-year training course at the ITS Mosos with an address on the shipment of agri-food goods and the maintenance of the cold chain throughout the supply chain. .
The cash prize is named after Nicola Parodi, an engineer who died in 1993 at the age of 40, known for his academic and professional achievements.
The ceremony took place at the Libyssonis Hotel where two new members were announced to join the club: Maria Antonietta Rozzo, head of the civil status office of the Municipality of Porto Torres, and Francesca Bangoni, civil engineer. "This award celebrates the school and above all the merit, - said the president of Rotary, Paolo Pinna - a recognition that once again testifies to the privileged relationship that our club maintains with the educational institutions which, we believe, are the basis that allows for society to grow and develop ".
