On Saturday 19 October, the Festival delle Bellezze, after four years, will return to Porto Torres, for a musical evening in the Basilica of San Gavino, at 9 pm. For the occasion, the choristers, soloists and instrumentalists of the Insieme Vocale Nova Euphonia and the Corale Studentesca Città di Sassari, directed by maestro Vincenzo Cossu, will perform sacred, Sardinian, pop music and themes from famous soundtracks. The program includes pieces by Mozart, Queen, James Horner, Tazenda and many others.

The show Musica per San Gavino II, sponsored by the Municipality of Porto Torres and supported by the Sardinia Region through the LR RAS 64/86 call for proposals 2024 CunSonoS and by the Chamber of Commerce of Sassari through the brand Salude&Trigu, will take place in conjunction with the celebrations in honor of the Holy Martyrs of Turritani. The seventh edition of the Festival delle Bellezze – organized by the cultural-musical association Insieme Vocale Nova Euphonia and conceived in 2018 by maestro Vincenzo Cossu, who is also the artistic director of the event – continues its journey through the most evocative places in Northern Sardinia, with the aim of highlighting the beauty of the landscape and the cultural and architectural heritage.

Next Saturday's concert represents the 14th stage of the 2024 edition of the Festival delle Bellezze. The Insieme Vocale Nova Euphonia has been active for 14 years, born as the first and only choir in Sardinia specialized in film music. The Corale Studentesca Città di Sassari was founded 15 years ago as the first and only interscholastic choir of high schools in Sardinia. On Saturday in Porto Torres the choristers will be accompanied on the piano by Walter Masala and Carlo Morittu, on the guitar by Gabriele Griva, on the electric bass by Alessandra Daidone, on percussion by Gabriele Serra. The event will be hosted by Manuela Muzzu.
