The municipal council today approved the resolution setting out funds and programs for the 2023 edition of the Festha Manna.

This allows you to immediately publish expressions of interest for the organization of some of the scheduled appointments. The financial plan of the Festha Manna 2023 is 157,859.00 euros (VAT included), covered by municipal funds and with contributions from the Sardinia Foundation (80 thousand euros) and the regional tourism councilorship (23 thousand euros). Furthermore, the municipal administration will take care of the following services: transport, assembly, testing and dismantling of stages, platforms and other municipal equipment, including the amplification service for outdoor religious ceremonies and technical assistance for shows, which it will be performed by the in-house company Multiservizi Porto Torres.

The calendar of events will kick off from 20 to 31 May in the art studio in via Josto 38 with the painting exhibition by Michele Rum entitled "Rust and saltiness". It begins on Saturday 27 May at 10 on the Scoglio Lungo beach where the Fisherman's Regatta will take place, organized by the AssoVeLa Association in collaboration with the Etnos Li Bainzini association. From 5 to 7 pm in Piazza Umberto I there will be a children's workshop organized by the Comes cooperative, while at 9.30 pm under the Aragonese Tower it will be the turn of the musical concert by the Le Vibrazioni group.

It is an appointment of national appeal, which will take place in the location that hosted the last major concerts scheduled by the administration. Also on this occasion the collaboration with the commercial activities of the historic center is active, in particular with the Botteghe Turritane natural shopping center. On Sunday 28th at 5pm in the steps of the nearby Balai church there will be a historical re-enactment of "The dream of Comita", while at 8.30pm in the Cumbessias space and Atrio Metropoli it will be the turn of the folk event "In the name of San Gavino" organized by Intragnas in conjunction with the evening of Canti sardi a chiterra which will take place near the basilica.

The participation of numerous costumed groups from different municipalities in Sardinia is expected to take part in these events. The liturgical celebration was scheduled live on Videolina on Monday 29 May at 10.30 in the basilica of San Gavino; from 13 in Piazza Eroi dell'Onda the Fish Festival will return, a historic gastronomic event, which represents a long-awaited return to the Festha Manna together with the Equestrian Joust and the evening of chiterra songs.

Sunday 4 June from 4 pm, the seafront will host the Equestrian Giostra, a spectacular ring race with competing knights and amazons. Behind the Aragonese Tower, the riders will compete along the 350-metre long strip of sand at high speed where the rings to be hit in the three different descents will be positioned. At the end of the event, after the award ceremony, musical entertainment will follow. In conjunction with the equestrian joust, from 10 to 18, in the green area around the Aragonese Tower, there will be an extemporaneous painting curated by the cultural association TNT Global Art. The extemporaneous painting competition will have as its inspiring theme "Porto Torres - The Festha Manna. The Equestrian Carousel".
