Everything is ready for the 5th edition of "Notes under the Tower - Easter Monday in Music for Asinara," the event that will liven up the city of Porto Torres on Monday, April 6th with music, markets, exhibitions, and artistic installations hosted in the green space surrounding the Aragonese Tower and in the city center. The protagonists are the Milanese group The Kolors, the band composed of Antonio "Stash" Fiordispino (vocals and guitar), Alex Fiordispino (drums and percussion), and Dario Iaculli (bass), who rose to fame in 2015 with their victory in the fourteenth edition of Amici di Maria De Filippi.
The event scheduled for Porto Torres is a winning formula that, following the great success of recent years, the municipal administration has chosen to replicate in its essential content. It is based on the collaboration between the municipality and the numerous local associations, the citizens, and the commercial activities of the CCN Botteghe Turritane.
This year's event, once again dedicated to promoting the Gulf and the island of Asinara , aims to offer residents and visitors a high-quality event capable of attracting thousands of residents and tourists to the city, where they can experience Turri's vast cultural, environmental, archaeological, and food and wine heritage. The band's concert, which has gained widespread recognition, is the highlight of a day that will also feature live performances by local bands and artists in various venues throughout the city center, starting at 1:00 PM. But Turri's Easter Monday celebrations will kick off in the morning, when, at 11:00 AM, the large pedestrian area extending from Corso Vittorio Emanuele to Via Mare will officially open, hosting stalls, craft and art markets, and kiosks offering food and drinks. Meanwhile, between Piazza Umberto I and the Church of the Consolata, two-wheel enthusiasts can admire a splendid static exhibition of historic Vespas organized by the Porto Torres Vespa Club, while the little ones can have fun in the children's area set up with inflatable games in Piazza Eroi dell'Onda.
The Asinara promotion area will be located in Piazza Colombo, where visitors can discover the wonders of this jewel of an island thanks to the Park's staff. The island's rich and unique flora and fauna will also be promoted through artistic installations created by Arcobaleno and a giant screen projecting evocative images of its natural beauty, provided by Isola Mea. This year's program of events will also include guided tours of the city's archaeological sites, starting with the Necropolis of Su Crucifissu Mannu, recognized in 2025 as a World Heritage Site by the UNESCO World Heritage Committee, along with 16 other prehistoric sites in Sardinia. Tourists and visitors will be guided through the thousand-year history of the Turritano area by the staff of the Municipal Tourist Office. Meanwhile, the municipal administration has already submitted a request to the Regional Directorate of Museums of Sardinia for the special opening of the Turritano Antiquarium Museum and the Turris Libisonis archaeological site.
