The book recounts his passion for nature, and the photographs are a testament to his love for eagles. They are collected in a volume written by Michele Santona, the Porto Torres-based nature photographer and one of the most respected experts on wildlife, who passed away about a month ago at the age of 66 after a long illness.

The text, titled "Three White Spots," completed by his children and featuring the most beautiful and meaningful images, will be presented on Thursday, December 11th at 5 pm at the Asinara National Park Authority, during the inauguration of the photography exhibition in memory of Michele Santona.

An initiative initiated by the family and organized by the Athena Trekking Porto Torres association, in collaboration with the Park Authority and with the patronage of the Porto Torres Municipality. A project supported by his colleagues and those with whom he shared his great passion for wildlife and birds, such as Riccardo Abbozzi, Paolo Griva, Franco Porcheddu, Bobore Frau, and Edoardo Simula. The book features stunning, breathtaking shots of animals captured while adventuring through the most rugged corners of Sardinia, always in pursuit of perfection. Eagles in flight, grasping their prey, swooping down toward their target—a fascinating world of nature open to the public for a journey through the colors and beauty of the land.

Michele Santona has left behind a remarkable collection of documentation on the island's wildlife, a meticulous and thoughtful work that captures the charm of this land. All proceeds from the book will be donated to Airalzh Onlus, a nonprofit organization dedicated to exploring new therapeutic interventions for Alzheimer's disease.
