Sigfrido Ranucci returns to Sardinia with "La scelta." Interviewed by his colleague Giorgio Fresu, the journalist will present his latest book tomorrow at 7:30 pm on the small beach in Porto Cervo's Piazza Centrale in a free event moderated by Pamela D'Amico of Radio Rai.

The rich summer 2025 program of the Porto Cervo Libri literary festival, organized and curated by the Consorzio Costa Smeralda, continues with an exceptional event: host and author of the Rai 3 program "Report," Ranucci, born in Rome in 1961, is one of the most authoritative investigative journalists in the country.

At Rai since 1990, he first served as a correspondent for Tg3, then for Rai News 24, where he conducted numerous investigations into illegal waste trafficking and the Mafia. But that's not all: Ranucci conducted the last interview with Judge Paolo Borsellino, as well as reporting on the September 2001 attack on the Twin Towers, as a correspondent in New York, and the 2004 Sumatra tsunami. Ranucci has also been a correspondent in war zones in the Balkans and the Middle East, where he conducted investigations into human rights violations. In March 2017, he took over the famous "Report" format on Rai 3 from creator Milena Gabanelli, receiving numerous awards for investigative journalism throughout his career.

In Porto Cervo tomorrow, he will recount the journey that led him to this point, selecting several investigations to reveal the background and evoking figures—such as his father, a charismatic athlete and financier, and his mentor Roberto Morrione, founder of Rai News 24—who inspired his ability to see every decision through to completion.
