The Porto Cervo Libri review organized by the Costa Smeralda Consortium starts this evening.

The cultural kermesse , after the July preview which featured a historic Smeraldine consortium member, the famous fashion and lifestyle journalist and for many years editor of weekly and periodical Silvana Giacobini , now comes to life and will end in September after 7 meetings and special events that will arouse the curiosity of the many lovers of fiction and non-fiction who follow the events on the bill with interest.

The appointments will be held in various locations in the village , from the suggestive Sottopiazza, the beating heart of Porto Cervo, a crossroads for thousands of people who meet each year in one of the best known and most appreciated holiday destinations in the world, to Piazza del Principe, welcoming meeting place created by the Vinante family.

APPOINTMENTS – Today at 19.30 in the Sottopiazza the billboard proposes the work of the most famous veterinarian in Italy, Monica Pais , well known for her clinic dedicated to animal friends and founder of the non-profit organization “Effetto Palla”, author of the book del Bosco grande” published by Longanesi presented by the journalist Simonetta Selloni president of Assostampa Sardinia.

Special event on 7 August : under the spotlights of Porto Cervo Libri the entrepreneur and publisher of L'Unione Sarda Sergio Zuncheddu , who will present his visionary and documented literary effort entitled “ Buongiorno SarDegna ”.

«Past, present and future of an island with a thousand resources, often impoverished or never used. The events of Sardinia told with wit and narrative ability offer a scenario that plumbs the depths of the vices and virtues of a people that could be the protagonist of its own history": these are the main themes of the book, which will be illustrated with the usual vivacity by the moderator Enrico Pilia , deputy editor of sports reports and author of L'Unione Sarda.

The original structure of the text, which alternates a fictional cut with elements of rigorous essay writing, places the emphasis, in particular, on the narrative expedient used by the author.

The history of Sardinia is, in fact, told by an iconic figure of the island's tradition: grandfather "Babay", a wise old and solemn patriarch, who with extreme dignity and, at times, with disenchanted bitterness portrays, from the Nuragic era to the present day, greatness and vicissitudes of the Sardinian people.

The work also contains an impressive amount of data regarding the island that Sergio Zuncheddu collects and rattles off, photographing a merciless image of the prosaic socio-economic condition of Sardinia. Numbers imprinted like a stigma on the skin of the Sardinians but also possible areas to be exploited to generate development and arrive at the definitive liberation from the economic dependence of the island.

The review will continue with another excellent debut in Porto Cervo: on 10 August in Piazza del Principe at the same time there will be Federico Palmaroli , the well-known and corrosive author who has been depopulating for years with his images accompanied by comical and irresistible texts that have made an influencer with millions of likes.

No Italian can now do without Osho and his iconic photographs with hilarious jokes that Palmaroli attributes to the protagonists usually portrayed with expressions appropriate to the tenor of the imaginary dialogue.

Another long-standing consortium member, Claudia Marin , who has been present in Porto Cervo since its first years of life, will be the star of the Smeraldine event. Neapolitan with Venetian ancestry and with Sardinia in her heart she has always lived in Rome. Leading signature for QN, last June she published her latest work for Iride-Rubbettino "Imperfections", a family and individual novel, as it is defined in an almost poetic way on the back cover, which she will present on August 18th together with the co-director of QN Raffaele Marmo.

An exceptional mystery writer and novelist is the last guest of August: on 27 August at 7 pm in Piazza del Principe , Marina di Guardo will present a blockbuster such as "Dress code, Red blood" published by Mondadori.

Active since 2012 as a writer when she publishes her first novel, "The deception of seduction", in 2017 the author, born in Novara but of Sicilian origins and firmly rooted in Milan, mother of three beautiful girls who are also fully realized and well known to the general public, Chiara, Francesca and Valentina Ferragni, publishes "Com'èRIGHT IT", which is defined by the critic Gian Paolo Serino as "the revelation of the year". In the following years he published four other works including "The memory of bodies", whose rights were sold to an American film company to make a TV film and a version for the big screen, while at the end of October his ninth book.

Closing in island sauce with an author that not everyone knows is from Cagliari. Journalist, television author, columnist for L'Unione Sarda and throughout the summer on LA7 with the program "In onda", Luca Telese , prolific writer and historian, fan and enthusiast of Cagliari, will present on 5 September in Piazza del Principe at 7.00 pm of his latest books. Topics his workhorses: from football to the unforgettable Enrico Berlinguer.
