Porto Cervo is preparing to welcome Eleonora Vallone and Fulvio Abbate: the "Porto Cervo Libri" literary festival resumes today at 7:30 pm, on the small beach below the central square of this iconic Costa Smeralda location, with these two special guests.
The event, which marks the seasonal debut of the festival, will pay homage to Sardinia and the Costa Smeralda with the autobiography of Eleonora Vallone , famous actress and Raf's daughter, who has built on her father's legacy, after a career spanning over fifty years, by creating a highly important film festival dedicated to water, a precious resource that is increasingly protected for the salvation of the globe.
Fulvio Abbate, an Italian writer followed by three generations of readers and a commentator on major television talk shows, will be in conversation with her about "How Many Lives for One? My Seven Lives." Journalist and psychologist Irene Bozzi will interview the two protagonists.
"Stubborn and rebellious, yet absurdly shy, empathetic and introverted, hypersensitive," Eleonora describes herself. In her autobiographical book, illustrated with color photographs from her intimate archive, she candidly and humorously recounts her journey from childhood to her years of fame, her loves and sorrows, the encounters she had and those she hadn't, her famous people, her exotic travels, and finally the creation of a sport, AquaGym, which is now practiced everywhere.
But it is also the story of the daughter of a much-loved but overbearing father, of a mother and, later, of a grandmother, of an athlete, painter, designer, and everything that Eleonora has represented and represents in a life that could have lasted seven.
The story also features a lot of Sardinia, with memories of the Costa Smeralda, where the author spent unforgettable summers.
