Pnrr, maneuver, emergency bills, taxes, pensions . But not only.

There are many (and thorny) challenges in terms of economy that await the government that will take office after the vote on 25 September.

Important decisions that will have to be taken, among other things, with the conflict between Ukraine and Russia still ongoing and, indeed, with signs of further escalation.

The first challenge will naturally be the next budget law , starting with the update note of the Def prepared by the outgoing executive of Mario Draghi. And the thought immediately goes to the hypothesis of new taxes , from the flat tax workhorse of the center right to the inheritance tax for large assets to finance the dowry for young people proposed by the secretary dem Enrico Letta.

Then - strictly connected to the Maneuver - the tasks to reach all the targets necessary to collect from the European Union the funds of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (with the unknown, in the case of a center-right government, of the possible renegotiation that would find favorable both Brothers of Italy that the League).

The new government will also have to take care of the implementation of the law on competition which also concerns bathing concessions and then of the pensions node , to be unraveled if the Fornero Law is not to be revived, from 2023.

And again: the executive that will succeed the Draghi one will have to deal with the measures to contain the rise in bills (gas price ceiling? "Decoupling" of the price of electricity?) And with the issue of energy supply , in agreement ( or disagree?) with Brussels.

Least, but not last, the Ita Airways and Milan-Cortina 2026 dossiers, with all the related projects .

Fundamental issues - some capitals - for the development and revitalization of the country's economy in the coming years. And, in the event of a victory by the center-right, there is an expectation to understand if and to what extent the new executive will continue along the lines of what has been done, prepared, estimated by the Draghi government or if it will decide to modify, in a minimal or significant part, the work already undertaken and the agreements already started in recent months.
