The "Pnrr Sardegna" project unit, set up by the regional council to "seize every opportunity offered by the national recovery and resilience plan" , explains the governor Christian Solinas, will be operational until December 31st. “We are called to manage resources in the best, quickest and most efficient way and to promote projects attributable to this fundamental tool devised by Europe to remove the great infrastructural gap between the north and south of the country”.

An “historical” occasion for our Island – continues the president – and precisely for this reason it calls us to responsibility, requires firmness and competence in decisions, foresight in action. From these needs arises the need to set up a temporary project unit dedicated to the implementation of the national plan and strategic projects - highlights Solinas - in such a way that there is an organic articulation capable of managing resources in the best possible way. Criticisms, suggestions, proposals, questions will pass from a single structured subject that will be the closest and most useful reference to all the subjects involved in the implementation of the projects”.

The Unit will have direct and fundamental competences for the management of resources and investments including the unitary competence of the Pnrr which concerns the regional territory; the unitary coordination activities of the funding delegated to the Region; participation in the control room for unitary programming for development policies; communication management, in coordination with the Institutional Communication Service of the General Directorate of the Presidency.

Finally, a contingent will be assigned, in the initial operation phase, made up of 4 internal personnel, in addition to the Head of the Unit who will be chosen through a specific notice, currently identified in the current coordinator of the Technical Secretariat.
