The preparation of the 2023 Coastal Use Plan , which governs the use of state-owned maritime areas for tourist-recreational purposes and regulates the organization of the coasts of Sardinia , enters the operational phase.

«As the Department we are already working to define the rules on the areas owned by state property given in concession which will be adopted by the Giunta with a specific resolution already in March, after having closed the meetings and tables with the territorial offices, to then put the Municipalities to draw up the Pul. We have a record-breaking tourist season behind us, as a Region we are committed to ensuring, each according to their own skills, that summer 2023 is also confirmed as positive», explains the Councilor for Local Authorities, Finance and Town Planning, Aldo Salaris.

«We are the Italian region with the most kilometers of coastline - continues the exponent of the Giunta Solinas - and this characteristic requires good management and planning skills and an important effort on the part of the Municipalities, which must be put in the conditions to operate in the right times and in line with the needs of economic operators.

The regional directives will regulate the exercise of administrative functions in the field of maritime state property intended for tourist-recreational use and constitute the general guideline for the drafting of the municipal planning tool for the use and fruition of the coasts. The Plans, in addition to regulating state-owned maritime areas with tourist-recreational purposes, regulate the organization of the coasts also in relation to the neighboring territory , including the road and pedestrian accessibility of the areas as a whole.
