"After the defeat against Juventus, it was tough to get back on track: we had to work hard mentally, and now we have to stay focused on each match, then we'll settle the score at the end." This is what Pisa coach Oscar Hiljemark said about Sunday's match against Cagliari, where the Nerazzurri, bottom of the table, must win to maintain their hopes of a difficult relegation.
The coach, who replaced the sacked Gilardino five games ago, also discussed his future, responding to those who asked if he was guaranteed to remain in charge of the team even in the event of relegation: "There are no guarantees in football, I only think about tomorrow." He then assured that Pisa "always go out there to win" and sent a message to his players: "No one is guaranteed a place, that's football. Touré started playing a lot, then Leris did well. Tramoni knows what I want; if he does well in training, he has a chance of playing like anyone else. Akinsanmiro has many of the qualities that my game demands, but others are doing better than him at the moment. We need more quality in attack, because we're still not winning, and our style of play over 90 minutes needs to change."
Finally, a thought on Cagliari: "They're a good team, always very dangerous in attack . We have great respect for them, as we do for all our opponents. If we do well, we can cause them a lot of problems, like we did against Milan or Bologna."
