Cecè is a nice 35-year-old pleasure seeker, restless and lively, without moral scruples and with a brilliant imagination who lives in the undergrowth of Rome, full of corruption, clientele and favours. A one-act play written by Luigi Pirandello with an unusually light and lively atmosphere for the playwright. Carlo Giuffrè was perhaps its most famous interpreter. The Sassari Theater Company now brings the comedy to the stage. The debut is tomorrow at the Cine Teatro Astra (9pm) with a repeat on Saturday and Sunday.
Cecè is a cheerful swindler who with light-hearted shamelessness manages to deceive both Commendatore Squatriglia who came to thank him for having obtained a favor, and Nada, an easy girl, in whose hands, as a pledge of love, Cecè has deposited some bills of exchange. The direction is Mario Lubino with Alfredo Ruscitto, Aldo Milia, Bianca Maria Lay.
The three evenings will be opened by the Clip Informale Literary Collective.
The title is included in the program of the "Ethnic and Theatrical Festival" which will continue until March.
