"Roberto has always given his all on the pitch, showing great dedication and professionalism. The Club thanks him for his contribution to the team's goals and wishes him every success in his future career."

With this note, Cagliari Calcio bids farewell to Roberto Piccoli , making official the transfer of the player's sporting performance rights, who will move permanently to Fiorentina.

The club then retraces the significant contribution made by the Bergamo-born 2001 striker to the Sardinians' survival last season: "Having arrived from Atalanta last summer, he made his Rossoblu debut with a brace on August 12th in front of his new fans, in the Coppa Italia match against Carrarese, a 3-1 win . After making his league debut the following week, again at Unipol Domus in a draw against Roma, he scored his first Serie A goal of the season in a 1-1 draw against Como on August 26th."

"Among his most important goals," Cagliari Calcio recalls, " the one against Parma in the away win (2-3), the winner in the 1-0 home win over Hellas Verona, and the one in Monza for the final 1-2 . All important goals, worth three points. His header against Venezia on May 18th was equally decisive, in the 3-0 victory that sealed survival."

Now it's time to say goodbye and wish him all the best for his future career, which will also include his 41 appearances and 13 goals scored in the Rossoblu shirt.
