And the government is studying a new intervention on excise duties : "It is very likely," said the undersecretary for the economy, Maria Cecilia Guerra . "Quite simply, the increase in prices also increases VAT revenue, which we do not want to put in the state coffers, but we use it to lower excise duties and keep the price calm", he added, recalling that the government for energy "Has already made interventions for 30 billion".
