After the case of former minister Gennaro Sangiuliano, the Ministry of Culture is back in the turmoil : there is fibrillation in the majority after the announcement by Report of new revelations on the handover between Sangiuliano's chief of staff, Francesco Gilioli, and the new head brought in by the new minister Alessandro Giuli, Francesco Spano, former Secretary General of the Maxxi.

Host Sigfrido Ranucci spoke about "two new" Boccia cases at the Ministry of Culture, reports that will be broadcast on Sunday 27 October on Raitre.

Spano is not waiting and has already resigned : "The context that has been created, not without unpleasant personal attacks, no longer allows me to maintain the serenity of thought that is necessary to carry out this very important role - he wrote in the letter addressed to the Minister of Culture, Alessandro Giuli -. In the exclusive interest of the Administration, therefore, I believe it is my duty to take a step back. This does not prevent me, evidently, from expressing my deep gratitude for the esteem and support that you have shown me without hesitation".

Resignation accepted by Giuli: "With great regret, after having rejected it several times, I receive and accept the resignation of the Chief of Staff, Francesco Spano. My convinced solidarity goes to him for the barbaric climate of monstrosity to which he is subjected in these hours. Last but not least, I reiterate to Francesco Spano my complete esteem and gratitude for the impeccable technical professionalism and human quality demonstrated in various contexts, including the Ministry of Culture".

According to Il Fatto Quotidiano, the decision to resign was made together with Giuli and Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni was also informed. In the meantime, Il Fatto also revealed a chat on FdI in which insults to the cabinet chief (defined as a "pederast") appeared for his sexual orientation and his positions on LGBTQ issues. Spano had in fact ended up in the crosshairs of the right and also of the Pro Vita & Famiglia association for being accused of having financed, when he was director of the National Office Against Racial Discrimination (Unar), an LGBTQ association, Anddos, accused of promoting prostitution in its circles. The message with a homophobic attack by the FdI representative, however, became a case and the author, the local coordinator Fabrizio Busnengo, was removed from the chat and resigned from his position.
