"Good news for retirees: from 1 January 2022 there will be a revaluation of pensions of 1.7%, a full revaluation that has not happened for years and that has been activated in a timely manner to bring integration to people as soon as possible".
This was announced by the president of INPS, Pasquale Tridico.
"The table that will open on the pension reform, based on what we have heard, goes in the direction indicated by the INPS, that is, flexibility within a contribution model", he added.
“The solutions of flexibility and therefore of early exit with respect to 67 years, can exist and are compatible with financial sustainability. We have to overcome the rigid cages of quotas, which stiffen the system, '' said Tridico.
The increases offset the rise in prices due to rising inflation.
In detail, pensions with an amount up to four times the minimum (up to 2,062 euros) will have a full increase of 1.7%; those with an amount between four and five times the minimum (between 2,062 and 2,577 euros) will receive 90% of 1.7% (effective revaluation of 1.53%), while those that exceed five times the minimum, therefore over 2,578 euros, they will have an increase of 75% over 1.7% (real revaluation of 1.275%).
