Pd, LeU, Progressives and M5s: the center-left coalition for the regional ones is born

Center-left and 5 Star Movement united with the regional ones in Sardinia . The race for 2024 (but the opposition is convinced that we can go to early voting) started today, on the occasion of the public meeting "From disaster to rebirth: the government of tomorrow is born from today's opposition".
"The table that met today is the result of the daily work in the Regional Council of people who were divided in 2019," said Massimo Zedda , the leader of the Progressives and candidate defeated by Solinas in the last regional ones, opening the meeting.
In 2014, the former mayor of Cagliari recalled, there was a coalition that imploded in 2019. And for this reason “we invented the lists a few weeks before the vote. Well, we cannot repeat that experience, so I consider today's unity to be positive ”.
"The work of the opposition in the Sardinian Assembly is not enough - warns Zedda -, it is essential that the unrepresented associations and movements are involved in the process to define the project for Sardinia: we must start today and anticipate the times, this it will allow us to have a serious proposal to share ".
Among the speakers in the conference room of the Hotel Caesar in Cagliari there are also Eugenio Lai (LeU), Gianfranco Ganau (Pd), Desirè Manca (M5S), Francesco Agus (Progressives).
Ganau retraced the various steps of the " failure of the Solinas Council ", but stressed that "it is not obvious that we will win in 2024, we have two years to continue listening to the territories". The dem group leader specified that " there is no possibility of Pd-Psd'Az alliances ".
"The goal is to try to start building a coalition and a program, to give a left perspective to our island, because it is not true that we are all equal", Lai's words.
Desirè Manca, on the other hand, underlined the need to put essential services first : "Transport, territorial health, contrasting school dropout, this is the only way we can convince our young people to stay in their land".
For Francesco Agus we need “a relaunch towards the future, avoiding the evocation of the past because the world has changed irreversibly. The only hope for this island is the affirmation of the front that is born today ".
