FIRST HALF – An excellent Cagliari ends the first half ahead 0-1 in Parma. Zortea scores for the rossoblù in the 34th minute.
Two minutes and a few seconds for the first big chance: Viola's corner, Bernabé's deflection and on Piccoli's sure-fire header Suzuki works a miracle. Cagliari starts very determinedly and in the 6th minute they would have scored: this time from the opposite side, Viola finds Luperto's head who hits the post and Mina from two steps away scores into an empty net. After a VAR check, however, the referee disallows the Colombian's offside.
Parma's first chance in the 14th minute, Mihăilă is freed on the left and his shot is deflected by Scuffet to the outside of the net. But it is Cagliari who give the best indications, until in the 34th minute they find the goal they were looking for: a nice move on the left, Viola serves Luvumbo whose cross in the center is perfect for Zortea to run in, who beats Suzuki for 0-1.
Two minutes later Cagliari could have doubled their lead: Viola's cross-shot not held by Suzuki, picked up by Piccoli who from a tight angle hits the same post already hit by Luperto. Man is dangerous for Parma, with a left-footed shot wide, while in the 40th minute Viola comes close to the target from distance.
