Chiara Pellacani and Matteo Santoro won the gold medal in the three-meter mixed synchronized diving event at the European Championships in Paris.
The Italians, already reigning world champions, finished with 305.85 points ahead of the neutral pair of athletes, the Russians Ilia Molchanov and Elizaveta Kuzina, (286.17) and the German pair composed of the Germans Luis Carlo Avila Sanchez and Lena Corona Hentschel (284.19).
Chiara Pellacani performed amazingly, winning gold in the one-meter springboard as well, confirming her title as continental champion. The Roman athlete, with a score of 298.90, finished ahead of Switzerland's Michelle Luisa Heimberg (258.80) and Great Britain's Desharne Bent-Ashmeil (254.35). The other Italian competitor, Elisa Pizzini, finished fifth.
