The Italian Federico Nilo Maldini won silver in the 10 meter pistol competition at the Paris Olympics while Paolo Monna took bronze.
The Chinese Yu Xie won with a score of 240.9 ahead of Maldini, a 23-year-old carabiniere from Bologna, who scored 240.0. Monna, who took the bronze, is also a carabiniere, is 26 years old and is from Carovigno in Puglia. This year he won gold at the European Championships.
