Sardinian folk music still resounds for the Monte Arci Natural Park project "Sounds, Knowledge and Flavors of the park and obsidian".

The appointment is for this evening, Monday 27 December, in the Church of Sant'Antioco Martire in Palmas Arborea (starting at 19) with the recital by Maria Giovanna Cherchi, one of the most popular and well-known voices in the Peninsula and abroad. , established interpreter of traditional songs and music that starting from the folkloric matrix have brought a remarkable innovative vein in the repertoire of Sardinian folk songs.

Accompanied on the piano by Maurizio Bizzarro, keyboard virtuoso and sensitive and refined arranger, the recital will focus on famous traditional melodies and songs from the new repertoire of the Bolotanese singer.

Maria Giovanna Cherchi has enjoyed great success recently in France and Germany during a tour where she was applauded by thousands of people.

In the lineup the cornerstones of the traditional repertoire such as Non Potho Reposare, Nanneddu Meu and Ave Maria as well as some melodies composed for her by important authors such as Luigi Marielli of Tazenda who, in the case of Mediterranea, a very successful single, have brought one step away from Sanremo.

Admission is free until seats are exhausted and the access methods are those provided for by current legislation on the prevention of the spread of the infection from Covid-19 for masses and events in places of worship: masks and interpersonal distancing.
