The photography section of the 29th edition of the Isole che Parlano International Festival, directed by Paolo Angeli and Nanni Angeli, hosts an exhibition of extraordinary artistic importance but, above all, an honest and raw testimony to what has happened in Palestine over the past two years: Gaza: When Emotions Suffocate, dedicated to Samar Abu Elouf. Palestinian photojournalist Abu Elouf was awarded the World Press Photo of the Year 2025 for Mahmoud Ajjour, Aged Nine, a touching portrait of a Gazan child photographed in Doha, where he had been transferred for medical treatment after having his limbs amputated following an explosion.

The exhibition will be inaugurated on September 8th at 9pm in the presence of Abu Elouf, in the spaces of the Cineteatro Montiggia in Palau, followed by   A meeting and in-depth discussion of her work . Reflections on the ethics of a profession. The photographer talks about herself. The exhibition will be open to the public free of charge until October 12th, Tuesday through Sunday, 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
