The little moon pierces Rosalka in Dvorak's work, the intense and nuanced voice of Francesca Sassu pierced the hearts of the spectators at the Comunale di Sassari. So much so that he asked for an encore after an ovation.

The soprano from Sassari received a triumphant welcome upon returning to her city after 10 years. An opening of the operatic-symphonic autumn season in grand style, organized by the de Carolis concert organization directed by Alberto Gazale.

The unusual and refined program hit the mark thanks to the quality of the performers: Francesca Sassu, the director Michelangelo Mazza and the orchestra of the Sassari institution. They proposed the “Vier letzte Lieder”, the “last 4 cantos” by Richard Strauss and the symphony “From the New World” by Antonín Dvořák.

The actor Marco Spiga presented the evening and read the poems of Hesse and Eichendorff translated from German into Italian.

Next appointment on 13 and 15 October with Verdi's "Macbeth".
