Robert Duvall, the Oscar-winning actor and iconic face of “The Godfather” – he played Tom Hagen, Don Vito Corleone’s consigliere – and “Apocalypse Now,” where he played Lieutenant Colonel Bill Kilgore, with his famous line “I like the smell of napalm in the morning,” has died.

He passed away yesterday, Sunday, February 15, at the age of 95 at his home in Middleburg, Virginia, as confirmed in a statement released by the public relations agency on behalf of his wife, Luciana.

The statement said Duvall died "peacefully."
