Maura Delpero's "Vermiglio" remains outside the Dolby Theater . Italy's official Oscar candidate, Delpero's mountain tale had entered the shortlist of the 15 best international films but did not pass the five-point barrier in view of the night of the stars on March 2.
Isabella Rossellini is instead nominated for an Oscar – her first time – as best supporting actress for her role as Sister Agnes in Conclave by Edward Berger.
