“Certain loves never end, they take immense turns and then return, indivisible, indissoluble, inseparable loves” was the text of a song from over 30 years ago, but which best represents the story between Alessio Cuscusa and music. A love that never ended, that of the musician from Oristano who in recent days has published two albums on the most important digital platforms, entitled “Sit” and “The Voices of the Champions”.

In the life of Cuscusa, born in 1976, not only music, but also sports, cinema, art and literature, sectors that have influenced his compositions. With music a feeling exploded at a very young age. "A passion born when I was 15 years old - he confirms - with friends we had bought the first instruments and we started playing. We called ourselves the "Kashmir", like the title of a song by "Led Zeppelin".

We diversified from the standards of the time, more on “Metal”. I think that atypicality allowed us to grow and have a very broad musical and cultural openness”. Self-taught experiences and student of several valuable musicians from Oristano that gave him a musical versatility. “I play practically all the instruments – he continues – mainly the keyboards, the instrument I grew up with. Over the years, then, I learned to play them all and, in addition, I sing. Now I take care of all the composing part, the editing up to the final realization phase”.

Now the fruit of his labors, in adulthood. Two albums in “Lounge” style, entitled “Sit” and “The Voices of the Champions”, in addition to two new singles coming out these days. “They were born from the union of my passions – confirms Cuscusa – I tried to put them together and this was the result. The first is based on literature, cinema and art in general, while the second is composed of 3 tracks dedicated to as many sports champions: Joe Frazier, Emil Zatopek and Jesse Owens. The idea is to collect songs to listen to while sitting, calmly, in peace”. A goal achieved after a long wait. “It all came about – comments Cuscusa – from the desire, already as a boy, to create my own studio where I could make music without constraints and obligations of any kind. A project that I have only managed to realize now, but that had already been in my head for some time”. With an eye already turned to the future. “The idea is to continue – he concludes – because there are still many songs pending. I would like to collaborate with local musicians and release more albums in the “Lounge” style, which I feel is particularly mine”.
