A gift for a smile: Christmas holidays are children's favorite and none of them should be left without a small gift.

For this reason, the volunteers of Lavos of Oristano have organized a charity concert-event in the company of the swing group A.Ma.Me for tomorrow, Thursday 4 January, at 5.30 pm at the headquarters in Viale Rockefeller. Vocal Ensemble directed by Maestro Riccardo Zinzula, director of the Civic School of Music of the Municipality of Oristano and an established concert performer at a national level as a pianist, singer and choir director.

“Bring a game or a book, even if used, as long as it is in good condition and the Lavos Befana will take them to local family homes to make all the children happy ️ - explains the president of the association Gianbattista Longu, musician and arranger from Oristano - initiative that aims to alleviate the suffering of the little ones who should be filled with cuddles during this period. Often, in many homes, the toys and books used by families for their children during childhood become an encumbrance when there is little space - continues the well-known multi-instrumentalist who has been leading Lavos for a few months - and in some cases they are eliminated despite may find new life for those less fortunate children who are hosted in city facilities".

The hope is that those who want to free up rooms and wardrobes full of unused toys will want to find new spaces in their homes while doing a good job.

Music will be the main component of the initiative with the concert of one of the most successful young bands on the island, the extraordinary voices of A.Ma.Me. Vocal Ensembles that retrace the footsteps of the female groups that were very popular in the 30s and 40s and then returned to the scene after the Second World War.

The complex was born in 2018 in Arborea and is made up of three very young singers discovered by the vocal coach and singing teacher from Oristano who will be on stage in the role of pianist, tenor, arranger and director.

Maestro Zinzula, together with Agnese Angheleddu soprano, Marzia Trudu contralto and Melanie Panetto mezzo-soprano, has created an ensemble of great emotional impact by proposing a repertoire that releases joy and optimism thanks to music from the last century which has become famous thanks to the radio and famous performers of the past.

Their repertoire also ranges across other genres and goes from swing to pop, from R&B to the more classical vocal forms dating back to the Renaissance and Baroque periods, including the most popular Christmas carols and sacred melodies for religious celebrations.

He opened various prestigious festivals, such as Tazenda's Christmas concert in the Monte Arci Regional Park, enjoying great success and performed in important summer musical events, obtaining sold out audiences and the enthusiasm of fans of the genre on every occasion.

Entrance is free but it will be important to bring a used book or toy to achieve the aims of the project.
