It took seven months since the provincial elections and a lengthy process to approve the statute, but the Province of Oristano finally has a fully operational government team. President Paolo Pireddu has announced the distribution of responsibilities to the councilors of the majority governing the province, thus completing the political and administrative structure of the new legislature.
Vice President Claudio Pinna , representing the Reformists, will assume responsibility for the Budget and Education , while Massimo Blandino of Forza Italia will be entrusted with Tourism and Entertainment . Responsibilities for Culture , Youth Policies , and Personnel will be passed to Antonio Iatalese of the UDC, while Andrea Grussu , representing the Brothers of Italy, will be responsible for Environment and Sport . Domenico Gallus of the Sardinian Action Party will be given responsibility for Territorial Welfare and Healthcare .
President Pireddu, however, is interimly retaining the responsibilities for Roads and Public Works , initially slated for Councilor Giuliano Uras , elected from Forza Italia. This decision is evidently tied to Uras's new political stance, having left the majority in the Oristano Municipality and now distanced himself from the center-right.
Pireddu, however, clarifies that the institutional relationship is not compromised. "With Councilor Uras," he emphasizes, "there is, and always has been, a fruitful exchange and ongoing dialogue. We will continue to work in this direction, sharing and exploring issues of provincial interest."
The President also emphasized that the assigned delegations "are part of a framework of continuity with what was envisioned at the beginning of the legislature and represent the currently established structure," reiterating his full openness to dialogue and willingness to identify common ground with all provincial councilors.
